How to Install Corner Bead on Drywall

1. Measure and Cut

• Measure the corner height.

• Cut the corner bead to the correct size using tin snips (metal/vinyl) or a utility knife (paper-faced).

2. Attach the Corner Bead

• Metal/Vinyl Bead: Nail, screw, staple, or use adhesive.

• Paper-Faced Bead: Apply joint compound and press it into place.

3. Apply Joint Compound (Mud)

• Use a 6-inch drywall knife to apply the first coat, feathering the edges.

• Let it dry, then apply two more coats, each wider than the last.

4. Sand & Paint

• Sand the dried compound for a smooth surface.

• Prime and paint for a finished look.
