What Is a Partition Wall Keel?

A partition wall keel is a structural framing component used to support lightweight non-load-bearing walls (often called partition walls). It forms the skeleton for the wall and is usually made of galvanized steel or aluminum, though wood keels may be used in some traditional settings.

 Common Materials:

1. Galvanized Steel Keel (light steel keel)

2. Aluminum keel

3. Wood keel (less common in modern commercial buildings)
